When you file your federal taxes for 2018, choose to have your refund directly deposited into your account to receive it faster. The IRS expects to issue direct deposit refunds for e-filed returns within 21 days, while a check in the mail takes four to six weeks.

To set up your direct deposit, you'll need Veridian's routing number, 273976369, and your  account number. You can find this on the bottom of your checks or through online banking by clicking on an account and selecting Account Details.

In addition to getting your money faster, direct deposit is safer: no one can walk off with your check. It's also convenient, as your money is immediately available to you, and you can split up your deposit between up to three accounts.
